Numerology: Remarkable knowledge of personal numbers and Birth Path Number

This is where everyone can share in the remarkable knowledge of personal numbers.  When applied to your everyday life, numbers will benefit your home life, your career, and your relationships with others, and so much more!
Numerology is a metaphysical approach to divining your character and personal life cycles by calculating numbers from your name and date of birth.  The word Numerology is derived from the Latin word "numerus", which means "number", and the Greek word "logos", meaning "word" or "thought".

You can apply these ancient and modern systems of divination in a unique and artful way to unlock your natural inclinations, hidden powers, lucky numbers, and personal success. For instance, through Numerology you can discover things about yourself, such as:
The best time of the year to advance your goals
Your high and low peaks in a given day
What will the next year bring for you
What do your house and phone numbers mean!

Your Ages of Important Events:
There is a curious method to determine your years of important events based on the actual day of your birth. The famous palmist and numerologist Cheiro (aka Count Louis Hamon) popularized this method in the early part of the 1900s.  It may sound simple, but I found this system to be wonderfully accurate.
According to numerologists, events come in 9-10 year cycles (with an inner 4-5 year phase), and this not only pertains to our personal lives but also to universal events in politics, history of a country, crop cycles, seasonal trends, life cycle of a business or company, etc.
Remember, this is only the beginning! There are more calculations to be done to further pinpoint your unique and accurate forecasting of major events based on your Birth Date and full Birth Name, which reveals a closer picture of your unique set of significant ages.

1, 7, 10, 16, 19, 28, 34, 37, 43, 46, 52, 61, 70, 73, 79, and 82
Those born on the 2nd, 11th, 20th, and 29th of any month:
2, 7, 11, 16, 20, 25, 29, 34, 38, 43, 47, 52, 56, 70, 74, 79, and 83
Those born on the 3rd, 12th, 21st and 30th of any month:
3, 12, 21, 30, 39, 48, 57, 66, 75, and 84
Those born on the 4th, 13th, 22nd and 31st of any month:
1, 4, 10, 13, 19, 22, 28, 31, 37, 40, 46, 49, 55, 58, 64, 67, 73, and 76
Those born on the 5th, 14th and 23rd of any month:

9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, and 90
Indeed, all our years have significance in one form or another, yet the above-mentioned years will likely be memorable ones.  Your surroundings are apt to change, big decisions are made, special people enter your life or career changes will occur, emerging talents may surface, or sudden events may impact your life that alter your directions.
Notice how some series in the above chart follow a 4 and 5-year cycle to equal 9-year phases, while other birthdays follow the 9-year only.  For instance, if you were born on the 2nd, 11th, 20th, 25th, or 29th of any month, you will have the 4 and 5-year cycles and therefore more frequent turning points in your life.
Here is another look at 9-year phases
Numerologists regard any new beginning as the year 1.  Therefore the formation of a business, for example, is considered as year 1 for the company.  Let's say the company is in business for a long while.  It will notice significant changes every four or five years and every nine years.  For instance, at the 5-year mark, the company might take in a new partner or make a property move.  At the 9-year mark, the company might split into two, or expand, or do an overhaul on the equipment.  Whatever occurs will alter the company in a special way approximately every five and nine years from inception.

Let’s try another example. Suppose you relocated at age 21 (regardless of whether this age is part of your above series or not) to begin your archeology studies, let's say.  Sure enough, a significant change will occur four or five years later.  You might travel to another land to conduct field studies for the year and then return.
At age 30, which is nine years after you began your studies, you might get a job opportunity to study an ancient culture in another place.  Nine years later at age 39, you might change your job position and become specialized in your field, and so on.  The best way to observe the pattern is by looking at the 9-year cycles and also your 5-year phases in between.
Why is this useful to know?  By observing your lifestyle patterns, you can anticipate and be better prepared to make the most of your personal events, like the farmer who prepares his crops for the season based on weather forecasts and trends.

With only 9 single numbers in our existence, all other numbers are a variation of the basic 9. The ‘0’ when added to the 1 becomes the first double digit that begins the next cycle. We see the ‘0’ (zero) to represent ‘everything and nothing’, but with the 1, it is transformed. (I am reminded of an old Hermetic axiom, the ‘one and the many’ ringing here…)

Notice how the circle and staff that forms the written ‘9’ symbol now separate and transform to make the digit 10. I wonder if this was not an arbitrary discovery of the ancients who designed what the number 10 should look like. It makes sense that the 10 would come out of the ‘9’, to emphasize the continuation and evolution of all matter.
I believe that the number 10 not only can be the symbol for the circle, but also to the Spiral movement as inherent in the DNA structure. The circle is closed-ended, forever moving round and round, but when added to the ‘1’, the number 10 is about evolution and change.
The ancients considered this number to represent perfection, a time of turning of events for the better, a period of luck and good fortune (10th card in the Tarot series is the Wheel of Fortune). The Mayans saw the 10 as an end to one cycle and the beginning of another. It means leadership and high mental comprehension.
When there is a 10 in one’s Numerology chart, the individual bears great inner strength and personal progress towards an end goal. It represents the union of male and female powers, beginning with the sperm as the ‘1’ and the egg as the ‘0’.

Birth Path Number

The birth path number, which suggests your overall path in life and place in the world, is based on your complete birth date. It is easy to calculate. Simply add up the digits of your birth data, and keep "reducing" (explained via the example here) to a single digit.

Example:

If your birthday is April 28, 1968, for example, note it as follows:
Birth Month is April, which is the 4th month = 4
Birth Day is 28 = 28
Birth Year is 1968 = 1968.

Add up the digits of all of these numbers:
4+2+8+1+9+6+8 = 38
Further "reduce" this number to a single digit by adding its digits:
3+8 = 11
And then further reduce it, if necessary:
1+1 = 2
The final digit, 2, is the Birth Path Number!

Name Number

Use the birth name--the name given a person at birth--to determine the Name Number (also known as the Expression Number), which reveals the overall personality. To calculate the name number, find the number that corresponds to each letter in the name in the chart below, add the numerals up, and then "reduce" the final number to a single digit, as you did with the birth path number, above.
123456789
ABCDEFGHI
JKLMNOPQR
STUVWXYZ

Example:

Name given at birth: Mary Lynn Smith.
Find each letter and its corresponding numeral in the chart above, and then add these digits together:
4+1+9+7+3+7+5+5+1+4+9+2+8 = 65
Reduce by adding the sum's digits together, and then further reduce to come to a single digit, if necessary:
65 = 6+5 = 11
11 = 1+1 = 2
In this example, the Name Number is 2, representing the personality type.

The Meaning of Basic Numbers in Numerology:

Number OneOne is the leader. The number one indicates the ability to stand alone, and is a strong vibration. Ruled by the Sun.
Keywords: independent, creative, original, ambitious, determined, self-assured. If expressed negatively: arrogant, stubborn, impatient, self-centered.
As lovers: Number ones take the lead in love. Love and/or the chase is of utmost importance to these lovers. There can be self-centeredness, however. These lovers are willing to experiment, and they can be quite exciting--they can also require a lot of excitement because they can bore easily.
Number TwoThis is the mediator and peace-lover. The number two indicates the desire for harmony. It is a gentle, considerate, and sensitive vibration. Ruled by the Moon.
Keywords: diplomatic, warm, peaceful, sensitive. If expressed negatively: too dependent, manipulative, passive-aggressive.
As lovers: Number Twos will bend over backwards to keep a relationship running smoothly. They offer emotional security to their lovers. The number two is associated with the Moon and, since the Moon rules Cancer in astrology, is similar to the Cancer vibration.
Number ThreeNumber Three is a sociable, friendly, and outgoing vibration. Kind, positive, and optimistic, Three's enjoy life and have a good sense of humor. Ruled by Jupiter.
Keywords: jovial, friendly, positive, adventurous, self-expressive. If expressed negatively: extravagant, scattered, superficial.
As lovers: Number Threes are fun, energetic, and willing to experiment. These lovers need space and contact with others in order to feel content. If they feel confined, they will be unhappy and restless. Allowed the freedom to socialize and scatter their energies, they are exciting and happy lovers.
Number FourThis is the worker. Practical, with a love of detail, Fours are trustworthy, hard-working, and helpful. Ruled by Uranus.
Keywords: trustworthy, helpful, steady, logical, self-disciplined, problem-solving. If expressed negatively: contrary, stubborn, narrow.
As lovers: Although steady and generally trustworthy, Fours can be quite emotional and frustrated if they feel caged in. They tend to need some level of confrontation in their love lives. A relationship that stagnates will bring out their contrary nature. They love to solve problems, and if allowed to "take on" and tackle predicaments, they are very loyal lovers.
Number FiveThis is the freedom lover. The number five is an intellectual vibration. These are "idea" people with a love of variety and the ability to adapt to most situations. Ruled by Mercury.
Keywords: adaptable, freedom-loving, romantic, resourceful, witty, fun-loving, curious, flexible, accommodating. If expressed negatively, non-committal, irresponsible, inconsistent.
As lovers: These lovers are generally attractive to the opposite sex, as they are adaptable, curious, and friendly. Their wit and love of fun is unmistakable. In order to be happy in love, they need some level of change and variety. They also require mental stimulation. They are quick to adapt to ups and downs, but when under-stimulated, they can be inconsistent and resisting of making commitments.
Number SixThis is the peace lover. The number six is a loving, stable, and harmonious vibration. Ruled by Venus.
Keywords: compassionate, stable, family-loving, trustworthy, domesticated. If expressed negatively, superficial, jealous, possessive, unwilling to change.
As lovers: Number Sixes have a deep dislike of discord and will generally work hard at keeping the peace. They are very attached to their homes and their families. At their best, they are devoted and stable partners who do whatever they can to maintain balance and harmony. At their worst, they take their peace-loving natures too far, and become lethargic, diplomatic to the point of superficiality, and jealous.
Number SevenThis is the deep thinker. The number seven is a spiritual vibration. These people are not very attached to material things, are introspective, and generally quiet. Ruled by Neptune.
Keywords: unusual, introspective, intuitive, psychic, wise, reserved. If expressed negatively: melancholic, odd, leaves too much to chance, hard to reach.
As lovers: These lovers are a little spaced out, and sometimes hard to reach and to understand. However, their disinterest in material things and focus on spirituality makes for interesting, if a little kooky, bed partners and mates. They are intuitive, some are psychic, and although they can be loners at different times in their lives, they are often devoted partners. They can reach levels of intimacy and romance beyond many people's imaginations. However, their goals in love may be too lofty and thus they can be prone to disappointment when relationships inevitably fall short of ideal.
Number EightThis is the manager. Number Eight is a strong, successful, and material vibration. Ruled by Saturn.
Keywords: ambitious, business-minded, practical, leading, authoritative, successful, courageous, accomplished, organized.  If expressed negatively: tense, narrow, materialistic, forceful.
As lovers: These lovers take a commitment with responsibility and bravery. When they treat relationships like business deals, however, they can easily alienate partners and fall short of creating a tolerant and romantic atmosphere. Eights are generally practical and secure, and offer their mates stability and security.
Number NineThis is the teacher. Number Nine is a tolerant, somewhat impractical, and sympathetic vibration. Ruled by Mars.
Keywords: jack of all trades, humanitarian, sympathetic, helpful, emotional, tolerant, active, determined. If expressed negatively: financially careless, moody, bullying, overly emotional, sullen, restless.
As lovers: These lovers are involved and helpful. Because they are sympathetic, they can easily be doormats. They show their love by helping their partners, and assuming their lovers' problems. If triggered, their emotions can be volcanic, and a seemingly meek personality can resort to bullying tactics when unhappy.

Master Numbers

In the first example above, in which the calculations for the Birth Path Number were demonstrated, the final number was reduced from an 11 to a 2. In Numerology, there are such things as Master Numbers that are noted, and these are the numbers 11 and 22. Essentially, the number 11 is a 2, but it is considered a higher vibration of the number 2. Similarly, the number 22 is a 4, but it is a higher vibration of the number 4.
Number Eleven
This is the giver. Number Eleven is an innovator with an unmistakable streak of humanitarianism.
Keywords: idealistic, intuitive, considerate, tolerant, accepting, steadfast.  If expressed negatively: too dependent, over-sensitive, manipulative.
As lovers: These lovers are romantic in the idealistic sense of the word. They want to see good in people, and they find it. Elevens are the least selfish lovers, and they are extremely considerate. They won't push you to do anything. They hold onto their partners (and their friends) and they are the masters of compromise. Elevens are tolerant and accepting.
Number Twenty-Two
This is the master builder. Although Number Twenty-twos are idealists and visionaries, they still manage to keep their feet on the ground.
Keywords: achiever, wise, intense, idealistic, resourceful, passionate. If expressed negatively: overly emotional, destructive, dramatic.
As lovers: It's all or nothing with these lovers. They don't seem capable of doing things halfway, and that includes their relationships. They are generally bent on achieving in life, and their sheer intensity is something people either love or hate.
